Controversial Ghanaian Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, has voiced disappointment regarding the management and handlers of emerging artiste and Akokoa singer, Safo Newman, for neglecting to invest in his appearance.

In a video captured by Theghshowbiz, the On God hitmaker emphasized the importance of building Safo Newman’s image and appearance before aggressively promoting his music.

He remarked, “There’s talk about this new guy, Safo Newman, and I believe his management or those who discovered him should be wise enough to prioritize his branding before thrusting him into the limelight.”

“However, that seems not to be the case; instead, they merely have him don a hat and parade him around for interview.

Safo Newman rose to prominence with his debut track, “Akokoa,” last year, earning recognition and praise from top artists such as Sarkodie. However, despite winning over many fans with his music, it appears that he has yet to capture the hearts of some with his appearance.

Critics have pointed out that his look lacks the “showbiz touch” and suggest that he needs to elevate his game in that aspect, echoing concerns raised by Shatta Wale. Interestingly, since stepping into the spotlight, Safo Newman has consistently been seen wearing a beanie, a small close-fitting hat, adding to the discussion about his image.
